Most recently I have been investigating the distinctive area of Stokes Croft, Bristol. By interacting with the community, and documenting and exploring the space I have been determining how the area’s character can be defined; typographically, through image and through sound.

This poster looks at a local action group named the Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft, who are fed up with the area’s neglect from the government and Bristol City Council. In response the group has taken matters into their own hands to improve the street scape, they have also begun to brand the area with their black and yellow identity to highlight Stokes Croft as ‘Bristol’s Cultural Quarter.’
